NETbilling Expands Into Retail Payments, Offers $500 Guarantee

VALENCIA, Calif. — NETbilling today said that it is expanding "full force" into retail payment services.

For the past 16 years, NETbilling's core business has been e-commerce transaction processing as well as its 24/7 call center services, but retail merchant accounts and terminal hardware wasn't the company's focus.

With a new initiative announced today NETbilling is offering services for e-commerce and retail merchant accounts, phone swipes, EMV-compatible wireless terminals and storefront POS systems.

With the rollout of new retail services, NETbilling is offering a guarantee for existing retail merchants, promising that if they cannot beat current merchant account rates, the processor will pay them $500.

It also said it is offering free processing programs for phone swipes, POS tablets and EMV-compatible terminals.

Wendy Nelson, vice president of NETbilling's sales division, said that that the new initiative is based on the processor's foundation it has laid through the years with the dozens of banks it works with.

"No other company in the industry works with more banks than NETbilling does to help their clients establish accounts, both in high risk and mainstream e-commerce," Nelson said. "Because of this, we have expanded 'full force' into retail processing.

"The acquiring relationships that NETbilling has established will allow us to offer merchant accounts at significant savings to our clients."
